Our staff includes the following gifted individuals:
Wes Thornberry
Wes Thornberry serves as the Treasurer for the corporation, and is the Senior Pastor at Weyers Cave United Methodist Church for the last 9 years in a successful ministry. He serves on the clergy team for many of the Shenandoah Valley Emmuas Walks.
Prior to entering the ministry as a second career clergy after retirement, Wes had received comprehensive training in the fields of substance abuse, spousal/child abuse, depression, and financial (mis)management. His professional career was spent in the field of advertising where he was a partner and President of a firm specializing in direct-response advertising. Clients included American Express, Fireman’s Fund and Norwest Bank. Wes received national recognition from his peers and has spoken at professional gatherings from Hawaii to New York City.
Wes graduated from Bethel College in St. Paul Minnesota, with a BA in psychology. He graduated from Duke Divinity COS program for the United Methodist Church for licensing as a Full Time Local Pastor.
Brian Lloyd
Brian Lloyd is the corporations Secretary. Brian graduated from Bethel College in St. Paul Minnesota with a BS in Economics and a 4.0 GPA in his major. Brian’s accomplishments in his area of degree, enabled him to tutor students in the Economics Department regarding related business and managerial courses. The fact that he was a youth intern during college shows he is self-starting and goal oriented. He designs sales and organizational systems for the specialty auto (antique and race) industry in which he is employed.
His innovative entrepreneurial spirit really shines on national auto show and pit crew teams. Brian’s skills in conflict negotiation and resolution along with his motivational skills are an asset to this ministry.
Brian plays guitar with his praise team, where he and Sheila attend worship in the Shenandoah Valley. He has taught adult Sunday School, children’s church and has worked with VBS.
We also have an Advisory Board made up of many talented individuals with talents and experience in various fields. We are also building a volunteer base of individuals serving on a prayer team and conference setup and tear down.
